I think society in the US does allow sexiism against men. The blogger's point was brought up by Bill Mahr years ago. Bascially, every sitcom has an idiot father who's "lucky" to have the wife he does.
It's a form of male-bashing...Another form has made Oprah a billionaire.
Just about every standup comedian has jokes about how men are stupid and women are brilliant.
But what bothers me the most is it seems many young women today try to be more "macho" than they guys. In all of these reality shows, I see the young women cussing and threatening to fight. What's wrong with being feminine? Why do girls have to be "tough guys"? Why can't we be equal but different?
I doubt it will change, but that doesn't mean I have to like it.
